Transformers with integrated series inductance (Series: TMRI and TTRI)

Description Construction:

These transformers have additional series inductors that are placed on a separate core between primary and secondary windings. This special construction has the advantage of combining both the function of the transformer as well as the filters in one component.
The windings of these transformers are made ​​of copper wire (double insulated with Class H insulation or double Nomex tape) or performed with aluminum tape. On request, a copper band version is possible.

The transformers are protected by a vacuum pressure impregnation with a solvent-free polyester resin and anschließßender heat treatment. The magnetic core is made from stamped sheet metal EI and UI (types 1, 5, 8 kVA) and grain oriented sheets (types 10 and 250kVA).

Applications:

These transformers are for example adapted to adjust the output voltage of a converter to an existing load. The transformer provides the galvanic isolation and the series inductances, together with the output capacitors, a filter that generates the sinusoidal output voltage. The short-circuit voltage for this case is high.
